About the Book > About the Authors >> David Castillo

David has been designing and developing computer-based training with tools such as Flash, Authorware, and others for the past 5 years, first with the University of Texas at Austin, and most recently with Alaska Airlines Flight operations and training, Hill-Rom corporation, RealVue Simulation Technologies, and Boeing.

He has been invited to speak on the topic of simulation at industrial and technical conferences.

Prior to his work in the learning technologies, David provided continuous quality and process improvement consulting to large organizations including Marriott International, Jefferson County Government, the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Austin.

Working from a W. Edwards Deming management philosophy, David helped businesses achieve measurable performance and financial results by focusing improvement efforts on business processes.

David is currently developing learning machines using his knowledge from the behavioral sciences, and his skill in building desktop device interface simulations. David believes that with today's software development tools, and the learning technologies developed more than 20 years ago, it is inevitable that we will in short order, produce masters of a subject matter in amazingly short cycle times.

David possesses a B.S. in Business Administration.
