I don't know Tom's official position at Macromedia, but he's
the heavy hitter regarding e-Learning at Macromedia and beyond,
particularly as it relates to standards such as AICC and SCORM.

We repeat this link because the ADL hosts a special conference
three time each year called PlugFest in which vendors from different
LMS's can come together with content developers and sort out issues
relating to interoperability.
Conferences hosted by the publisher of Online Learning and Training
magazines, these conference tend to be more commercially-oriented
than conferences hosted by ASTD or ISPI.

System Design (ISD), by "Big Dog". A very good site to help you
organize the processes and make sure you do not miss a step.
A monthly online and print magazine, Online Learning is published
by VNU Learning. It presents strategies, case studies, emerging
trends, and many links to important resources in the e-learning
industry. The publisher is VNU Learning, which hosts the Training
and Online Learning semi-annual conferences.
Certification magazine is a technical training and certification
publication designed to deliver the most current information available
about technical certification programs from a variety of vendors.
The e-learning guild is a community of practice fo rdesigners,
developers, and managers of e-Learning. The guild has a weekly
magazine on e-learning and hosts e-learning conferences each year.
