Eric is a Philadelphia-based Graphic Designer who has been practicing professionally for over 10 years. A graduate of Drexel University, he excells in the areas of digital rendering, layout/composition and interactive project development.

His contributions to this project ranged from defining the development processes to developing the graphic identity for the book and this site.

Emily has worked in multimedia development and testing for the past five years. Most recently, Emily worked as the user tester and programmer for Headsprout, a Seattle based digital media company, and served as a Flash technical consultant on a project for Alaska Airlines Flight Operations and Training. Emily speaks at Flash, e-learning, and performance improvement conferences, and received a B.S. in Behavioral Analysis from the University of North Texas.

In this book, Emily led the writing of Chapter 26 (Usability Testing), and designed and coded the fish finder and abacus device examples.

Marilyn has published numerous articles and books on instructional design and writing, and has worked in the field of instructional design for decades. Most recently she performed as a senior instructional designer for a Seattle based Internet company developing web-based instructional programs for children.

In this book, Marilyn contributed significantly to the instructional design chapters in Part V.

Geoff graduated from Central Washington State University with a B.S. in Aviation Technology. He is an avid pilot and is knowledgeable in a variety of airplane systems. He has designed and developed computer-based training for Alaska Airlines for two years.

In this book, Geoff designed and coded the robotic arm example, and helped define the programming interface for linking Flash-based simulation with Authorware-based courseware.
